Chess Prodigy Master Daakshin Arun, Std 8 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus has clinched the 2nd prize with a prize money of Rs 15,000 at the Delhi International Grandmaster Chess Tournament in Under-15 category for an outstanding score of 8 in 10 rounds. The venue of the tournament was Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi between 23rd and 30th March, 2023.
Daakshin won against GM Teterov Vitaly at this International GM Tournament. He has triumphed in various tournaments at the National and International Forum in all formats in fact he is increasing his chess strength steadily.This prestigious International Chess Championship was organized by Delhi Chess Association wherein 19 GMs and 12 IMs and more than 1000 players were attracted to participate from 17 countries across the world.
